Plants

Use our knowledge of the Toledo area growing conditions to create the personal oasis around your home. Whether it is the curb appeal of your front yard, the transitional design of your side yards or the personal retreat of your back yard, we can provide you with the ideal unique plants, shrubs, vines, grasses, ferns, woodies and perennials to provide color, texture, fragrance, and dimension to your gardens.

We offer many new varieties, old standard varieties and hard to find ideal unique plants and shrubs for Toledo, Sylvania, Maumee, Perrysburg, Monclova, Monroe and surrounding Ohio and Michigan areas.  You may have seen some of our plants that we provide to some of the heavily visited areas of Toledo that have unique plant requirements (such as the Toledo Zoo).  They trust our experience and quality, and so can you.  Visit us today!

The directory below links you to printable lists of our 2010 offerings. We select our plants to be locally hardy unless identified otherwise.

Ferns

From small delicate ferns to large bold ferns, our current offerings include chartreuse leaflets with black stems, to lacy, metallic burgundy fronds.  As you know, ferns are not just green!  If you want color, contrast and visually appealing complexity for your shady areas, see our fern offerings quickly.  Supplies of these plants are limited.

Grasses

From full sun grasses to shade tolerant grasses, from a half foot to over seven feet tall, from white to yellow to green to blue grasses, we have a great selection this year! Grasses are a great way to add height or contrasting textures to your landscape.  Tall grasses can work as an accent or as a hedge.  Small grasses can add a whispy flair to your flowers and ground covers.  If you don't have ornamental grasses in your landscape, you are missing an opportunity for a unique accent in your garden.

Perennials

Perennials make great garden plants, not only for their wonderful diversity, but they return year after year to beautify your garden.  You can mix perennials so your garden color and textures change through the seasons adding daily interest and excitement to your garden.  The initial cost of a perennial garden may be more than planting annuals, but the long term benefits, including savings in time and money, can be substantial!

Vines

Vines can appear as small shrubs when they have no support, but once a support is provided, they can become a living wall with beautiful fragrant flowers and great foliage.  While Clematis as our most popular vine, it by no means limits your options with flowers as large as 6 to 8 inches.  Showy and easy to maintain there is a reason Clematis are so popular with our customers and with the local humming birds!

Woodies

Hibiscus, Hydrangea and Roses are but a few of the plants called "woodies".  Woodies are the work horses of the garden. They add architecture, color and substance to our landscapes.  Look for many new and interesting varieties among our offerings this season.
